More Awards Nominations for Beyond the Gates, The Young and the Restless, and General Hospital
Awards season has kicked off, and there’s a new contender in daytime dramas. As we predicted last year, Beyond the Gates‘ nominations are starting to roll in.
Beyond the Gates On Top As Awards Nominations Begin

Last year, Beyond the Gates was ineligible for the Daytime Emmys, and given that the date for the awards show was extended to October, it was a noticeable absence after nearly a full year of the soap.
This year, however, is open. The nominations began this month with the NAACP Image Awards recognizing Beyond the Gates in two categories. The show itself is up for the Outstanding Drama Series Award, and BTG hairstylist Wankaya L. Hinkson earned a nomination for Outstanding Hair Styling (TV or Film).
Beyond the Gates makes history with the nomination. Per Parade, BTG is the first daytime drama series to be nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series category at the NAACP Image Awards.
The winners will be revealed on Saturday, February 28, 2026, when the NAACP Image Awards show airs on CBS and BET.
The Writer’s Guild Awards Announced Today

The esteemed Writers’ Guild announced its nominations today for the 2026 Writers’ Guild Awards, which will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles. The event will be livestreamed on the WGAW YouTube channel.
