6 Icons From The Young and the Restless Go to Beyond The Gates in June Crossover Event

Beyond the Gates announced another groundbreaking achievement today by revealing an upcoming crossover with its CBS sister show, The Young and the Restless.

Viewers of The Young and the Restless have seen crossovers before. From one-off episodes to characters moving to another city and staying for years, it’s been common for Y&R faces to show up in The Bold and the Beautiful’s fictional Los Angeles, or for L.A. natives to arrive in Genoa City.

But when that happens, it’s usually one character that does the crossover. Sometimes a couple or a business meeting require another one or two actors to be part of the storyline.

Today, however, CBS unveiled a landmark daytime television event: a sweeping multi-episode crossover between it’s runaway hit, Beyond the Gates, and the legendary #1 daytime drama, The Young and the Restless.

In June, “six iconic residents from Y&R’s Genoa City” will visit BTG’s Fairmont Crest.

In multiple episodes, viewers can expect to see Newman patriarch Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) visit his longtime friend, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) reunite at a high-profile political fundraiser. 

“Over the years, Victor has backed Vernon’s political campaigns, while Vernon has championed legislation benefiting Newman Enterprises, an alliance built on loyalty, influence and mutual gain,” CBS revealed.

Victor’s presence in June will be due to Vernon’s request that Victor serve as the keynote speaker for his grandson Martin’s (Brandon Claybon) political fundraiser.

Also in attendance are Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Martin, friends who first bonded in New York City after college. Martin extended the invitation to Kyle, who arrives with his parents, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) Abbott.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are also on the VIP guest list, with Devon fielding an unexpected business opportunity from Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie). Viewers will remember that music producer Devon visited Fairmont Crest last year with a record deal opportunity.

As the evening unfolds, a shocking event occurs, abruptly derailing the fundraiser and triggering dramatic consequences that will impact every guest in attendance.
