General Hospital Recap Jan 26: Britt dumps Jason, Josslyn Eavesdrops, Lucas Catches Marco

In the General Hospital recap for Monday, January 26, 2026, Josslyn and Lucas heard more than they were supposed to, Brick advised Carly, and Sonny and Jason figured out Britt.

General Hospital Recap

Jordan ran into Brick at the bar as he waited for Carly. When Curtis arrived, Brick had just asked Jordan out for dinner, and wondered who her friend was.

Brick told Curtis that he and Michael went way back, and they shook hands. Brick offered his assistance, under any circumstances, should Curtis ever needed, before walking away.

Jordan and Curtis sat down and talked about how neither had visited Drew in the hospital. They weren’t sure how they felt about what happened to him.

Curtis said he was relieved that they had a break from Drew’s threats. He said Portia would take the paternity test when she was ready, and all he could do was wait.

Curtis said he felt like he had a right to know whether or not she was 

At Sonny’s, Ava dropped off their daughter. Before she left, Sonny wanted to ask her about her and Sidwell. Ava said she could handle herself, and she would spend time with whoever she chose.

At the hospital, Britt asked Lucas to be a witness in case she needed to file a restraining order. Britt then shouted at Jason that if he ever cared about her at all, he’d leave her alone. Britt stormed off, and Lucas was speechless. Down the hall, Britt cried.

Carly saw Sidwell at Metro Court and sat at his table. She told him she let him frequent her establishment so he would owe her something. Sidwell assumed she wanted him to sabotage Lucas and Marco’s relationship, and refused.

Sidwell told Carly that they were happy together and he wouldn’t do anything to ruin that for his son. He told her that Lucas was hurting as much as she was. Carly told him he was making a lot of assumptions.

Sidwell offered to help reconcile her relationship with her brother. He said if she wanted a relationship with Lucas, then make nice to his son. Sidwell invited her to Wyndermere.

Later, Carly met with Brick and he insisted that she tell him why she was talking to Sidwell. Carly shared the Lucas and Marco were seeing one another and told him about their fight about it

Brick warned Carly that although he knew she’d like to reunite with Lucas, Sidwell wasn’t an ally and couldn’t be trusted. Jack arrived as Brick was leaving; they had a friendly exchange.

When he left, Brick got a call that surprised him.

Meanwhile, Ava met with Sidwell. He could tell she was distracted, so she told him that Sonny talked to her about Jenz. She warned him to watch his back as Sonny wasn’t a fan.

Ava said that as Avery’s father, Sonny thought he had a say in her life but he did not. Sidwell offered to take a step back, but Ava refused to give Sonny that satisfaction.

Sidwell charmed Ava with compliments and promised to work with her gallery exclusively. He told her he was glad she didn’t scare easily and was still there despite the rumors about him.

Sidwell suggested that the two of them go to Wyndermere to continue their evening together. Ava liked the idea, and said it would give Sonny something to really be angry about.

Marco let Cullum in at Wyndermere and told him that he had requested him to come over, not Sidwell. Marco said it was an overdue talk they needed about something his father wouldn’t handle: Sonny.

Marco told Cullum that Sonny was using Sidwell’s complacency to plot against him. He told Cullum that it didn’t make sense to have their project across the harbor from the man who could shut it down.

Cullum was surprised to learn that Marco didn’t think Sidwell had Sonny under control as he’d claimed. Marco told him, as a man who prized efficiency, to take Sonny out.

After Cullum left, Marco called Britt and told her to get to Wyndermere immediately, or he’d tell Cullum she was a problem. “I’m on my way,” Britt told him.

Britt saw Lucas and told him she needed to leave early because she had to pick up some things for her mom before the storm hit. Lucas asked if she was okay after her blow-up with Jason.

Britt said she was fine and noted that, as Brad’s ex, he knew that sometimes you have to leave someone in the past and move on before anyone gets hurt. 

Jason went to Sonny’s, and they talked about Sidwell. Jason told Sonny that Britt couldn’t be of help as she ended their relationship. Jason shared that Carly thought Britt staged the fight, and Jason thought it was for his benefit.

Sonny and Jason recapped what they knew: Britt was working with Dalton in his lab, and Sidwell had Dalton killed. Sonny suggested Sidwell killed Dalton himself to keep Britt in line, and it was working.

Jason agreed that Britt was scared, and it seemed like she was trying to protect him by pushing him away. Jason said he needed to keep Britt under surveillance. Sonny warned Jason that if he was going to keep an eye on Britt, Sidwell could have eyes on him as well.

Josslyn met Jack at the pier and told him she knew how to search Wyndermere without anyone knowing. She explained the conversation she was present fora bout the catacombs and knew they were hiding something down there.

Brennan agreed with Josslyn’s idea that during the storm, Wyndermere would probably lose power, and the entire household and staff would leave for the mainland. She thought it was the perfect time for her to investigate.

Jack was adamant that Josslyn not investigate and said he’d wait for an infiltration team. He yelled at her when she argued with him to not do anything and stay out of the investigation. Jack ordered her to leave as Cullum messaged that he was on his way.

When Cullum got there, he told Brennan that he answered to him, not the other way around. He wanted Brennan to tell him what Sidwell was up to and how Sonny fit in. Around the corner, Josslyn listened.

Brennan told Cullum that there was nothing but bad blood between Sonny and Sidwell. He said the mayor even gave her seal of approval at the sale of the piers. 

Cullum accused Brennan of avoiding going after Sonny because his judgment was clouded by his girlfriend. Brennan told him that the only reason he was seeing Carly was to get information about Sonny, and he was sure that he and Sidwell were not working together.

Britt arrived at Wyndermere and told Marco to give her what she needed so she could finish the project and get on with her life. Behind them, Lucas walked in and wanted to know what she meant.

Josslyn had just gotten home when there was a knock at the door. She opened it and told Brick she was surprised he showed up immediately after her call.
