Chelsea Wants to Live It Up on Beyond the Gates
Last week on Beyond the Gates, Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose) found out that she tested negative for the BRCA gene, and was more than ready to celebrate to the fullest.
Chelsea didn’t feel that her family’s festivities were exciting enough and wanted to crank it up a few levels. So she swung by the hospital to find her girlfriend, Madison (Kenjah McNeil), and told her they were going to party all night.
Chelsea and Madison went to Uptown, but before Madison could blink, Chelsea was turning to her former drug dealer to hook her up.
Madison seemed shocked enough that Chelsea even had a former drug dealer, but then, acting completely oblivious to Madison’s reaction, Chelsea offered her first dibs. Madison declined, so Chelsea tried peer pressure.
Madison Sits One Out
Does Chelsea even know the woman she is dating? Chelsea treated Madison like a college roommate at a frat party, pressuring her to partake as if she didn’t know Madison would be fundamentally opposed to it.
It was a slap in the face to Madison’s profession and her principles — and it makes you wonder if Chelsea sees Madison as a partner or respects her as a physician.
If Chelsea wants to act like a reckless teenager because she’s now “living life to the fullest,” perhaps she needs to do it single.
The couple just got over a breakup — caused by Chelsea ignoring Madison’s boundaries by interfering with her mom. Now, choosing a lifestyle that Madison didn’t sign up for, the dynamics are quickly changing again.
When Madison tried to talk to Chelsea, but she popped the pills and hit the dance floor without her, it was rude. Chelsea gave Madison one choice: come along for the ride, or sit in a barstool and watch. Madison opted to sit — but then Chelsea shrugged and said, “Later, baby” before walking away. It sure didn’t seem like a partnership or love. It felt like disrespect.
