The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 22: Electra put Dylan on notice, and Steffy did the same with Deacon

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, January 22, 2026, Electra put Dylan on notice, Steffy confronted Deacon, and Hope begged Taylor to put herself first.

At Forrester, Steffy spoke with an intern who was very hopeful that, after 14 months, she could get a paying position, such as the available receptionist job.

Steffy told Electra that she might need to give the position to someone else instead of Dylan. Electra understood and hoped Dylan would find a teaching job soon.

Electra went to the design office and saw Will. She told him she was super busy getting ready for a business trip with Ivy, but was looking forward to the teriyaki chicken he made for her.

Will admitted that Dylan had eaten her portion, so Electra questioned how they had wound up having dinner together. She was none too pleased to find out he’d invited Dylan.

Hope went to the cliff house to tell Taylor how supportive she was of her and Deacon getting together. Taylor told her it was an inappropriate conversation.

Taylor said that she couldn’t tell her what she advised her father. Hope said Deacon lived in fear of Sheila and cried 

Hope cried that Deacon deserved a healthy, real relationship. She sobbed that she couldn’t even invite his wife to her wedding, but if he was with someone like Taylor, it would be different.

Taylor interrupted to say that Deacon was her patient, and that was all. Hope said Taylor always put everyone else’s needs before her own.

Hope wondered what Taylor’s life would look ike if she put her own fulfillment first for once. “I think you could find that with my dad,” Hope added.

Meanwhile, Steffy went to Deacon and told him the opposite. She made it clear that what she saw between him and her mom had to stop.

Deacon told her she had the wrong idea and that there was nothing going on. Steffy asked if Sheila had ever pointed a gun at him.

Steffy told Deacon that Sheila was evil to her core, and he was looking for an exit strategy, but he wasn’t going to use her mother to do it.

Deacon said he and Taylor didn’t plan on this. “So you admit it!” Steffy snapped. She warned him that if he left Sheila for another woman, that woman would be her target, and she wasn’t going to let him put Taylor at risk.

“Do not incite a crazy woman; do not do this to my mom!” Steffy pleaded before leaving.

After trying to find a job, Dylan stopped by Forrester to tell Electra how hard of a morning she’d had getting rejected.

Electra was supportive but didn’t want to talk about that for long. She reminded Dylan that she’d asked her to respect her relationship with Will, and that she knew about their dinner.

Electra told Dylan not to get too relaxed there. Dylan said she could see where Electra was coming from. She apologized and said she’d do better.

Dylan promised to find her own place as soon as she could. Electra accepted what she said but repeated to be mindful of her actions. “Because what happened last night can never happen again,” Electra warned.
