At the hospital, Luca and Elizabeth talked about Willow’s acquittal. Lucas wasn’t looking forward to her getting back to work, but Elizabeth noted that she was and called her a good nurse. Liz got a call of an incoming critical patient.

Down the hall, Portia arrived for her meeting with Tracy and Laura. She had a brief run-in with Stella, who asked her if her affair was worth risking her career.

Portia told Stella she risked her career to help her daughter, and she always would. “If there are consequences for that, so be it,” she said firmly with a shrug.

Stella looked surprised. As Portia walked away, Stella turned around and saw Isaiah staring at her. Stella told him that it was a family matter, and he wasn’t family.

Isaiah clapped back that his affair didn’t start in a vacuum and that Portia wasn’t the only one to blame. Isaiah reminded Stella how Portia defended her when Drew came for her. He asked her to extend some grace to Portia.

Meanwhile, Portia met with Laura and Tracy, and they began the meeting by letting her know she’d either be reinstated on a probationary basis or fired. Tracy said they had made their recommendation, but wanted to hear her defend herself first.

Portia took full responsibility for her actions and said she used her position to gain access and alter test results. Portia explained her reason: to protect her daughter. Laura made notes as Portia said she was cleared by the AMA and could still practice. She just hoped it could be at General Hospital.

Portia answered Tracy and Laura’s questions and pointed out what a great doctor she was. She noted how she’d saved Drew despite how he’d tormented her family because her oath was the bedrock of who she was. Laura glanced at Tracy and thanked Portia for her time.

Ava and Nina met at the Bad Jen Cafe, where they spotted Trina and Kai making out at a table. Nina lamented about Drew and Willow’s marriage, but Ava told her to get over it.

Nina confided that Willow only married Drew to get acquitted and secure custody of her kids. Ava said if Willow decided to end her marriage, it would be her choice and to stay out of it.

Nina didn’t think that Drew would ever let her go. Just then, she received a distress call from Willow about something happening to Drew.

Meanwhile, Curtis came in and asked Kai to leave so he could talk to his daughter. Kai went to get refills, and Curtis asked if Trina had heard from Portia. He wanted her to know that Portia’s board meeting was that day.

Curtis reminded Trina that she tampered with the test results to protect Trina and thought Portia could use their support. Curtis had an idea of how to help and left again.

Curtis went to see Laura and asked if he could speak on Portia’s behalf. Curtis told Laura that if Drew had his way, he would have also had Portia change Michael’s opioid test results as well, but she refused.

Curtis said he hoped GH kept her on staff. Regardless of their personal issues, it had nothing to do with her work abilities, and hoped it wasn’t part of her decision.

In the hall, Portia told Isaiah that she thought she’d represented herself well, but didn’t know how it would go with the board, or what they were recommending. As they walked away, Stella called out to stop them.

Stella asked how her meeting went. Isaiah was going to give them a moment to talk but Stella asked him to stay. “I want to apologize to you, Portia. I know that you have enough dealing with professional matters, and I did not need to add even more pressure,” Stella told her.

Portia thanked Stella and apologized as well for any pain she caused her and the family. Portia said she still loved all of them. “I know you do,” Stella said before Portia and Isaiah walked away.

Kai drove Nina to the hospital, leaving Trina and Ava to talk. Ava got a message about a shipment for Sidwell’s art, but was surprised by some additional fees. Trina was supportive but asked Ava to be careful as she’d heard that Jenz could be dangerous.

Ava assured Trina that she knew how to deal with men like Sidwell. She pointed out that Lucas was having a great time living at Wyndermere and planned to spend a lot more time there as well.

Britt asked Jason to come to the hospital, but both of them were unaware that Cullum was following and eavesdropping. Britt took Jason to her office and gave him $500, her payback towards the Cafe Cherie bill.

Jason didn’t want it, but Britt thought it was the only way to move forward. “We’re moving forward?” Jason asked. Britt asked Jason out on a date, and he said yes before knowing what she had in mind. Britt told him he had to wear his blue suit.

After Jason left, Cullum walked into Britt’s office. “You look surprised. Did you really think leaving the Five Poppies behind meant you could leave me behind?” he asked. Cullum ordered Britt to come to Spoon Island immediately to finish the work in the lab within three months, or she would disappear.

Britt didn’t think her friends would understand if she vanished again. Cullum told her that they would absorb all risks, and they had a replacement if she didn’t show. He suggested she call for a prescription and move.

Britt promised to go to Wyndermere that night. Cullum suddenly smiled and said, “Glad to hear it.” Before leaving, he added that Jason was a problem at Five Poppies. Cullum added, “You’re going to get him out of your life — or I will.”

Sonny showed up at ADA Turner’s office to remind her that it would be a mistake if she targeted Michael next. Turner agreed and said she’d recuse herself if Michael was charged.

Turner regretted making Willow look more sympathetic on the stand rather than breaking her. She warned that the case was still open and Michael could be arrested. Sonny pointed out that Drew had many enemies, but Turner pointed out that Alexis gave everyone of them a roadmap to getting acquitted.

Sonny was sure that no jury would convict Michael or anyone for shooting a snake like Drew. Sonny said it should end with the case marked unsolved and put away in a file because Drew got what he deserved.

At Q mansion, Chase went off on Michael for shooting Drew and framing Willow. He said if Michael went down for it, he had no one to blame but himself. Michael asked him if he really believed he did that.

Michael yelled that he didn’t want Willow breaking up their marriage or putting their children in danger by bringing Drew into their lives.

Chase yelled back that the danger was Michael. He hollered that when she needed help and support, Michael wasn’t there for her. Michael reminded him he was leaving out a key piece of the story.

“Yes, okay, Willow cheated,” Chase snapped. He said that Michael was the one who deserved to be locked up and kept from his kids, not Willow.
An infuriated Michael told Chase that he was just as bad as Drew falling for Willow’s innocent victim act. “Let’s be honest about the real reason you want to help Willow so badly,” Michael seethed. “How long until you’re back in her bed, Chase?”

Chase hauled off and punched Michael as hard as he could. Michael punched him back, flipped him on the coffee table, and punched him again. They fought until Jason came in and broke it up.

“You’re going to pay for what you did!” Chase yelled before running off. Michael told Jason that now Chase would get the cops to come and get him.

Jason gave him ice and told Michael to stay silent and wait for Diane if he was arrested. He told Michael he would get through it. “I know you can,” he encouraged.

Michael told Jason he couldn’t send his kids back to Drew’s. Jason promised Michael that it wouldn’t happen, and he’d make sure of it.

Willow arrived at the hospital and told Elizabeth that she and Drew had come home to celebrate. She noted that they both had a sip of champagne, and then Drew couldn’t speak properly. Willow said the side of his face collapsed.

Willow said she turned him on his side and then put a couch pillow under his head. “Up until then he was fine. He was better than fine,” Willow cried.

Kai and Nina got to the hospital and found Willow crying and saying how scared she was. Nina suggested that Kai call Drew’s office and have his appointments canceled. He did but stared at Willow, questioning if what he was witnessing was an act.

Tracy came out of her meeting with Portia and saw Nina sitting with a crying Willow. She asked if it was one of the children. “As far as I know, the children are fine. It’s Drew,” Willow said.

Lucas came out and told Kai, Tracy, Nina, and Willow that his initial diagnosis was that Drew had a massive stroke.

Willow went to wash her face and collect herself in the restroom. While she was gone, Nina tried to be hopeful, but Tracy told her she wouldn’t get tears out of her. “He could be a vegetable, trapped in his body for the rest of his life. As my late husband Luke used to say, ‘karma’s a bitch’ and it came for Drew!” Tracy said simply.

Down the hall, Willow walked by a needle deposit box. She pulled out the needle she’d used, wrapped in a tissue, and smirked as she tossed it in and kept walking.
