How Nick’s Pain Could Be Matt’s Gain on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, Nick has been in excruciating pain since his car accident. Is the relief he wishes he had hiding in the trunk of his car?
Nick’s Broken Leg on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth) owned the Shadow Room bar with his wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), but she knew he made money with some side hustles, she just turned a blind eye.
But when Mitch tried to kill Noah (Lucas Adams), all secrets came out, including that Mitch was Matt Clark, and one of his side gigs was selling drugs.
Matt’s plan was to get Noah and Sienna addicted to fentanyl. From there, lives would be ruined, and eventually, one or both of them would overdose.
Using the drugs against his victims seemed to be Matt’s go-to for vengeance. But what if he spun that into reality without even trying?
Matt’s Addiction to Car Accidents

Matt ran Noah off the road and nearly killed him, but when he came to Genoa City, it was only a matter of time before he’d be captured. The Newmans nabbed him, and Nick (Joshua Morrow) was supposed to take care of it (how? We’re not entirely positive, but it seemed like he planned to kill him).
However, Matt broke free from his hog-tied position in the backseat and tried to choke Nick while he was driving, making him swerve off the road and crash.
Nick broke his leg and required emergency surgery. In immense pain and barely out of post-op recovery, Nick left the hospital early. He’s been dealing with Cane (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) attack on Newman Enterprises — despite everyone’s warnings — and his health is suffering for it.
Nick also went to the Newmans and convinced Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) to hand Matt over to him. Last seen, he was in Nick’s trunk at the Newman Ranch — and Nick planned on killing him.
Nick’s Pain is Matt’s Gain

Since Nick is somewhat delirious in pain, he’s used the last painkiller that he had from the hospital. What’s a guy to do now?
Well, that’s where Matt comes in. What are the chances Matt uses the fact that he’s been walking around with a bag of fentanyl in his pocket to his advantage?
If his nemesis gives (or Nick discovers on his own) the bag of drugs to Nick, he’ll be addicted before you can say Matt Clark.
Whether or not Matt lives another day at the hands of Nick, Victor, or the police, or he disappears for a few more years, if Nick gets addicted to fentanyl because of him, Matt’s going to call that a win.
What do you think? The signs were already there that we were headed for a drug addiction for Nick — do you think Matt could get him addicted to fentanyl?
