The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 19: Donna warns Eric and Katie, RJ Questions Electra
In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, January 19th, 2026, RJ and Electra got to know one another, Brooke wanted to know the name of Katie’s new lead designer, and Donna issued warnings.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap
At Logan, Donna came in as Brooke was asking Eric what he was doing there. No one told Brooke that he was the new designer that Brooke kept asking Katie about.
Katie told Brooke it was business and didn’t want to shop-talk. After Brooke left, Donna chastised Katie for hiring Eric. She was happy for them, but asked Eric and Katie to see how many ways it could go wrong.
Donna asked Katie whether she wanted to make amends with Brooke, because when she found out the two of them were in cahoots, the family would erupt into World War III. Katie laughed that Donna was being overly dramatic.
Donna said that she was worried about Eric’s health. She was happy for him to design again, but noted he wouldn’t have Brooke and Ridge’s support at Logan, and he’d be doing it all on his own.
“If you want to design…please…just go back to Forrester,” Donna implored. She suggested he go back to Forrester part-time to satisfy his creative needs.
Eric told Donna that Ridge didn’t need him, but Katie did, so Donna went back to begging Katie not to hire her husband. She said that Ridge would feel like she backstabbed him.
Katie reminded Donna that Ridge was the one who forced his dad into retirement. “Talk about ageism!” she said. Donna agreed but said that Ridge tried to make amends.
Donna continued that Eric would be working for a company and a man that Ridge despised. Eric adamantly told Donna that Forrester was his company, and they pushed him out of it.
“I’m sorry. I’ve been trying to rise above this, Donna,” Eric told her. He said the more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He said designers reinvent themselves all the time, and why shouldn’t he?
Eric adamantly told Donna and Katie that he was not going to be pushed aside. He said that he was taught to respect his elders and that was a lesson that Ridge and Brooke were going to find out the hard way.
In the CEO’s office, Ridge and Will met. Ridge told Will that while it was okay for Katie to leave the company, stealing her name was wrong.
Will said he wanted to stay out of politics and hoped it wouldn’t affect his career at Forrester. Ridge told him that if he kept learning, he’d become an asset.
Ridge told Will that he didn’t like his father but could separate the two. On Will’s way out, Brooke came in. She told him about her conversation with Katie and didn’t feel she made much headway.
Ridge was surprised to learn that Eric and Donna were at Logan. Brooke told Ridge that she didn’t want to talk to Katie about using her name; she was more intent on fixing their relationship.
In the Forrester showroom, RJ and Electra couldn’t believe they hadn’t crossed paths, but agreed they wanted to get to know one another now.
RJ talked about how happy his parents were to have him back, and teased that he might be sticking around for a while. Behind them, two models poked their heads through clothes and grinned like they were watching a Disney prince meet a girl.
Later, the two women were in the design office with the door open, talking about how hot RJ was. One of them was determined to get his attention and not let Electra Forrester get her claws into him, too.
Will walked in, overheard, and asked who they were talking about, so they told him. He seemed surprised to hear that RJ was back.
Back in the showroom, Electra told RJ that she was dating Will Spencer. RJ said he didn’t know him well, but knew that his family hated his dad. Electra dreamily gushed about how wonderful Will was.
RJ told Electra he’d heard all about the “crazy Luna stuff” that had happened. “That didn’t bother you?” he asked. Behind them, Will was listening at the doorway.
