The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 15: RJ Returns, Katie Hires Eric

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, January 15, 2026, Eric makes Katie an offer she can’t refuse, while RJ makes waves at Forrester when he surprises his parents.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap

Brooke and Ridge were happily surprised when RJ showed up at Forrester. Brooke told him that she hoped he was there to stay. RJ said he couldn’t commit but thought he’d stick around a while.

RJ said he came to see for himself that they were back together. RJ said he was excited to be back and that he missed them, and L.A. 

RJ told them how amazed he was that Ridge jumped into the Mediterranean to save Brooke, as Ridge had a flashback to that whole scene in Italy. RJ thanked Ridge for saving his mom.

Ridge asked RJ to come back as a designer at Forrester Couture with him, the way that he worked with his father back in the day. RJ wished that it were a three-generational opportunity.

RJ said he heard that retirement wasn’t Eric’s choice. Brooke said that Ridge offered for Eric to return, but he didn’t want to. Ridge insisted he was only looking out for Eric’s health.At Logan, Katie was overwhelmed at the thought of sharing the runway with Eric. She didn’t think she could ask that much of him, but he pointed out that he was offering to be her lead designer.

Katie raved about how valuable and respected Eric was in the industry. Eric pointed out he was no longer at Forrester, so it wasn’t like she was poaching. 

“Welcome aboard!” Katie cheered. “Okay, let’s do this! Eric Forrester is officially out of retirement,” Eric enthused.

Katie said she’d have to put her PR skills to work, as she didn’t want it to appear like a fallout between Eric and Ridge. Eric agreed that they had to be sensitive to their family relationships. Katie predicted Ridge and Brooke would have a problem with it, no matter how the news was presented. 

Eric made it clear that he wasn’t in for the long haul but was good with a short-term contract to get the company up and running on a sturdy ground, and Katie was great with that.

Eric told Katie he would have designs for her soon. Katie was thrilled and hugged Eric as she thanked him.
