General Hospital’s Chris McKenna’s special plea to fans about new co-star Andrew Hawkes
General Hospital got a new villain today — and a double-crossing storyline to go with it. And on that note, GH star Chris McKenna had a special request of fans of the show.
Andrew Hawkes joins General Hospital

On General Hospital today, fans got not one, but two reveals: Sidwell’s partner, and how he has a double life. When Pascal (Marc Forget) was fighting with Anna (Finola Hughes), she had overtaken him. Suddenly a man appeared from behind and choked her until she was unconscious.
That man turned out to reveal himself moments later as Sidwell’s partner, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawke). The pair spoke about their plans to finish Cesar Faison’s final project, forcing his daughter Britt (Kelley Theibaud) to work in the lab on Spoon Island, and how Anna Devane was becoming more of a problem than she was worth.
Before leaving, Cullum told both Sidwell and Pascal that Anna shouldn’t be with them much longer.
However, Cullum isn’t just Sidwell’s partner in crime, he’s also a WSB director. Later in the episode, he showed up to see Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), telling his agent that Anna was lost.
Chris McKenna Defends his Castmate

Upon the reveal, Chris McKenna (Jack Brennan) took to his X account to make a special request to fans of the show. “Meet the sinister WSB Director Ross Cullum played by the wonderful Andrew Hawkes. Andy is a talented consummate pro and a charming guy with two young daughters. Hate Cullum but take it easy on Andy, please? He’s a sweetheart,” he wrote.
The feeling is mutual between the actors. Hawkes relayed his appreciation of his costar to TVInsider, stating, “Everybody has been awfully kind and sweet to me,” he reports. “It’s a great character, and I love the storyline. Chris McKenna is my boy. We’re adversarial in the show, but he’s such a good guy.”
