The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 7: Daphne breaks Carter’s heart, Steffy can’t unsee Taylor and Deacon

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Carter pleads with Daphne, Li reminds Sheila of her past, Deacon knows he can’t have a future with Taylor, Ridge loses all sense of irony, and Steffy’s mind is blown.

In the design office, Hope was stunned when Daphne told her that she was moving back to Paris. Although she said she’d continue at Forrester, Hope was worried about what that meant for Daphne’s relationship with Carter. She suggested that Daphne was running away from feeling vulnerable.

Sheila had Li rush over to Il Giardino to talk out her feelings. Sheila told her that Deacon’s kids didn’t like her, but she wanted them to. Li scolded her for her past.

Sheila and Li credited Taylor for her marriage still being intact. Sheila didn’t think she could ever repay Taylor for everything she had done.

In the CEO’s office, Carter was devastated to hear that Daphne was leaving. He raced off to find her while Ridge freaked out that they had to stop her. With zero irony, he told Steffy that Daphne couldn’t just up and walk out on someone who was head over heels for her.

Hope came in and said that Daphne had just told her she was leaving. She wondered if Carter knew and was worried about his feelings.

In the salon, Carter found Daphne on the phone, telling someone in Paris she was coming. She could tell by his expression that he knew already and noted that he should have heard it from her.

Daphne told Carter that her life was in Paris, but he disagreed. He said they could have a life together if she stayed, and knew she was running away. Carter told Daphne she wouldn’t regret it if she stayed.

At Taylor’s office, Deacon offered to counsel Taylor as well. She told him there’s a thing called transference when patients and therapists get too close. Deacon ignored that and showered her with compliments.

Deacon told Taylor that she, as a woman, needed love and support as she was always giving it out. “You. You need to find love,” Deacon told her as Taylor tried not to swoon. Deacon had her full attention as he told her she deserved to be worshipped and that she was beautiful and amazing.

Deacon and Taylor knew that it was impossible for them to be together, as he was her client. Regretfully, they agreed that they were done. “Before we even had a chance,” Deacon said as he touched her cheek.

Outside the door, Steffy arrived and saw them. She eavesdropped as Taylor gushed how Deacon came along just as she had her heart crushed and was able to move on because of him. 

After Deacon left, Steffy stormed in and demanded an explanation. She wanted to know what was going on with Deacon and her mom, and if she was involved with Sheila’s husband.
