General Hospital Recap

Lulu was alarmed when Nathan showed up and told her that he thought Charlotte was lying to her, as she wasn’t at drama club, and had left school hours earlier. Charlotte came home, and Lulu told her that she knew about her little stunt.
Nathan and Lulu chastised Charlotte for ditching her PCPD escort. She said she was just tired of it and wanted a little freedom. After Nathan left, Lulu told Charlotte that she needed to be able to trust her. Charlotte promised it wouldn’t happen again.
Charlotte assured Lulu that she understood what it was like to worry about someone you love. She said she worried like that about her dad, knowing he had a lot of enemies. Lulu tried to reassure her that Valentin would be okay.
Charlotte went upstairs and texted Danny a thank you for helping her. He promised to help her dad, to,o as she recalled Valentin making her promise to give him some time to fix things.
At court, Alexis made Jacinda admit that she was with Ezra and not Michael when Drew was shot. When there was no cross-examination, Alexis recalled Tracy to the stand. She asked if Tracy remembered seeing Michael outside of Drew’s house the night of the shooting, and Tracy admitted she did.
Turner cross-examined about the weather, how dark it was, and that no lights were on. She established that visibility was limited.
Next, Michael took the stand. Alexis asked why he didn’t tell the police he was at Drew’s house. Michael said he wasn’t at the house; he was on the street. He maintained his innocence, while Alexis proved he had access to the gun.
Alexis asked how Michael felt about his uncle. “I hate him,” Michael said. Turner crossed Michael and managed to get it established for the jury that Michael didn’t go into the house the night of the shooting.
Michael explained that he didn’t want his kids around Drew, as he more than once said upsetting things to his son. He calmly denied shooting Drew.
Meanwhile, Nathan came back to work, and Dante told him about Tracy’s testimony. Dante said he had to consider that his brother was guilty. Dante explained to Nathan how it was his fault that Michael went to jail years ago, and what happened to him when he was there.
Nathan assured Dante that he had gone over the court case several times and said there was no evidence that Dante skewed anything to defend Michael. Dante agreed but said he knew that Michael’s defense was paper-thin, and Willow was paying the price.
Nathan offered to review the evidence again but he needed to register a piece of evidence that he had from a crime scene. Dante pointed out if he had it on him when he went to Lulu’s and left it in the car, he’d broken the chain of custody, and it was inadmissible.
Nathan chalked it up to being rusty. Dante said he wasn’t used to Nathan mishandling evidence, but understood.
In the attic, Carly wanted to know where Valentin was going to go, and warned him she wouldn’t let him take Charlotte. Valentin said he didn’t want to put her in any more danger and explained that Charlotte had come to see him.
Valentin worried that Jack could kidnap Charlotte and hold her hostage to get Valentin to come out of the shadows. Carly argued that Jack was a lot of things, but he wasn’t a kidnapper. Valentin said that regardless of her misled views of Brennan, Sidwell was capable of anything.
Carly agreed, and Valentin told her about Sidwell’s implied threats. He said that if Sidwell knew that Charlotte knew where he was, he would definitely take her.
Carly admitted that she implied to Brennan that Anna was harboring Valentin. She said that when she heard herself talking, she realized she was doing what she was accusing Anna of — putting her life at risk to help him.
Carly said she came to the conclusion at that moment that Valentin had to go. But now, she said, he needed to stay as it was the safest for him and Charlotte.
Tracy went to Lulu’s and told her about her testimony. Lulu wondered why Alexis didn’t get Tracy to identify Michael in the security camera footage. Tracy realized that Alexis was bluffing and that she had photographic evidence.
Lulu thought it was strange that she didn’t. Tracy said something changed since the last time she testified. Lulu wondered how Alexis knew, if she didn’t have proof. Tracy didn’t know, but asked Lulu to help her find out.
After the court adjourned, Alexis thanked Suzanne for bringing the folder and thumb drive when she did. She admitted that for a second there, she thought that Suzanne was bringing her new evidence — and that if she was required to prove she had any, she couldn’t.
Alexis knew that Michael did a good job staying calm, but hoped her next witness would tip the scales in their favor. They all turned to see Elizabeth enter the courtroom.
Meanwhile, as Michael had left the stand, he gave Willow a long, cold stare as he walked by. Drew was overjoyed as he thought Alexis established reasonable doubt, but Willow wasn’t so sure.
Elizabeth took the stand. She testified that Michael had come over, and she left him there alone. Alexis made it clear he had time to plant the gun at her place.
In the court hallway, Trina and Kai were beside themselves after Michael’s testimony, when he mentioned he had a different ringtone for Wiley. Assuming it was the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ringtone they heard after the second gunshot. “Michael lied,” Kai said. They decided Michael wasn’t outside on the street like he said. “Michael shot Drew,” Trina said.
