The Young and the Restless Recap Jan 6: Nick crashes, and Sienna knows Sharon’s visitor
In The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Nick crashes, Sienna recognizes a visitor, and Sharon worries when Noah disappears.

Nick was driving as Matt choked him from the backseat. Unable to break free from Matt’s grip, Nick crashed the car.
When he regained consciousness, Nick was lying against the steering wheel on a deflated airbag. He felt through the glove box to find his phone and pulled it out.
Victoria came to see Victor at the main house. Victor told her that he thought the nightmare with Matt Clark was coming to an end, and he was just waiting to hear from Nick.
Nikki came in as Victor told Victoria that Nick was driving Matt to the police station on his own. Nikki gasped that it wasn’t safe, and Victoria agreed.
Victor made some ominous statements about Nick knowing how to deal with Matt and how Victor knew how to protect his family.
Just then, Nick called and told his dad, between labored breathing, that he was in an accident and was badly hurt, and he needed help. Before Nick could tell Victor where he was, he passed out.
Somehow, Sharon, Nikki, Noah, and Victoria got to the hospital, and Nick was there and conscious. They sat around his hospital bed as he told them how Matt choked him.
Nikki assured Nick that Victor was working on recapturing Matt. After Nick was taken away for x-rays, Noah couldn’t reach Sienna and worried.
“Straight to voicemail,” Noah said. He noted that’s what was happening when Sienna was kidnapped, and he wanted to go back to the ranch and check on her.
Victoria suggested they stay put and let Victor’s security keep things safe back home. Noah cried, “Mom, tell her!” hoping that Sharon would back him up. But Sharon agreed with Victoria.
Nikki chimed in that Noah could be putting himself in danger by leaving. The doctor and nurse came in and shared the news that Nick had a cracked left fibula and was going for surgery.
Knowing surgery could take a while, Noah backed out of the room while the women were speculating on recuperation time. Sharon went to tell Noah that she would call Summer, but he was gone.
Victoria, Nikki, and Sharon looked for Noah to no avail. Sharon worried that Noah would sacrifice his safety to take on Matt alone to protect everyone else.
Nikki got word that Noah was back at the ranch and was safe. Sharon worried that Matt could be anywhere, and probably hurt and angry. “Which makes him more dangerous than ever,” Sharon worried.
Daniel came into the GCAC and saw his mom on the phone by the bar. She was leaving a message for Michael, pleading with him not to ghost her. Daniel stood behind her, eavesdropping, then asked what was up when she hung up the phone.
Phyllis got Daniel to sit at a table with her and evaded his questions by asking why his energy seemed lighter and if Tessa had anything to do with it.
Phyllis admitted that she’d seen Daniel and Tessa kissing and gave her support. She just wanted him to watch his heart. Daniel turned the conversation back to Phyllis’ phone call.
Daniel hounded Phyllis with guesses as to who she was leaving a message for and what it was about. When he brought up the AI program, Phyllis snapped for him to get off her back.
Phyllis told Daniel that Billy and Jack wanted her to help get the AI app. He didn’t set the bar too high for what she would be paid, but Phyllis told him to ask for Marchetti to be given to Summer.
Daniel wondered if the deal for Summer was what Phyllis had mentioned a while ago about bringing the family together. Phyllis said she thought it would start with fashion, they could add in music, and eventually have an empire.
Daniel wondered what it had to do with the phone message Phyllis was leaving. Frustrated, Phyllis asked why he brought it up. Daniel told her that there was a reason people in Genoa City disliked her and distrusted her.
Daniel suggested that Phyllis stop trying to manipulate the situation with Billy and Jack and be truthful to get the outcome she wanted. “Oh, Daniel,” Phyllis sighed, “It just doesn’t work that way.”
Phyllis told Daniel that instead of suppressing her, he should help her win because there was no other option or outcome for her.
At Sharon’s, Sienna tried to keep her anxiety under control as she waited for word about Matt. There was a knock at the door, and Sienna tentatively opened it to find Tessa looking for Sharon. “Tessa?” Sienna asked, surprised. “Sienna??” Tessa echoed.
Tessa came in, and she and Sienna talked about the last time they saw one another, when Tessa was performing at clubs in L.A. with Tanner.
Sienna said she was visiting Sharon with Noah and that they were in a relationship. She asked how Tessa knew the Newmans.
Tessa explained how she was married to Noah’s half-sister, and they have a daughter. Sienna felt compelled to come clean and told Tessa that she was married to someone who wanted revenge on the Newmans.
Tessa hadn’t heard of Matt Clark before, so Sienna gave her the digest version of Matt, her affair with Noah, his car crash, how Matt might have lured Noah to L.A. to get back at his parents, and the kidnappings.
Noah ran in, relieved that Sienna was okay. He was taken aback when he noticed Tessa. “Long time no see,” she said.
Sienna and Tessa told Noah how they had known one another from years ago. Noah then shared how Matt escaped, and Nick was in the hospital.
Noah was adamant that Matt had to be caught and stopped before he hurt anyone else. Sienna wondered if the only way to truly stop him at this point was to put a bullet in him.
In an alley, Matt lay on the ground, struggling to get off the zip ties on his hands. “You are a dead man, Nick Newman,” he muttered. Just then, the shadow of a man approached, and Matt looked up to see his face.
