The Bold and the Beautiful Recap

In the Forrester CEO’s office, Ridge, Carter, and Brooke updated Steffy on Logan Designs, the trademark that expired over a year ago, and how Bill and Katie stole the name from them. Brooke said she didn’t recognize her sister anymore.
In their meeting, Steffy said that she was happy with the status of Hope for the Future. Brooke agreed, though wished that Hope’s brother could have stayed on.
The conversation turned back to Katie and her new company. Brooke and Ridge noted that she had no employees, so it wasn’t even a real company. Ridge wondered why Katie would have even married Bill.
Steffy said that Katie got a new company out of her marriage. Ridge corrected her that all she got was a big idea with no legs.
Brooke complained that Katie wanted to use her name. Ridge said that Katie wanted what Brooke had. He said that all Katie and Bill had was a name that didn’t belong to them and no fashion sense. “Good luck,” he scoffed.
Ridge ranted that Bill didn’t even know good business. He thought it was a joke that Bill wanted to fund a fashion house, and called it Katie’s “little toy.” Carter stayed silent while Ridge lamented that they didn’t deal in “mergers and acquisitions,” complaining that Bill and Katie had nothing, no heart in the industry, and weren’t even known or liked. “What do they have? They got nothing,” he decided.
At Il Giardino, Bill and Katie came for lunch on an official date as Deke was getting settled in as Deacon’s newest server. Bill continued his encouragement to Katie about how she was going to show all the doubters how wrong they were.
Deke told his dad he appreciated the job but was honest that the restaurant industry wasn’t his passion — fashion was. Deacon understood and thought that Forrester made a mistake letting him go.
Deacon said that Thomas was unstable, even if he was a talented designer. “Don’t ever forget what he put your sister through,” Deacon reminded Deke.
Katie asked Bill to eat at the bar for a moment so she could talk to Deke. She invited him to take Bill’s seat and wanted to know what exactly happened to him at Forrester.
Deke told Katie about his experience and his aspirations. He was grateful for the opportunity and learned a lot in the short time he was there. He said he was bummed about getting replaced by Thomas.
Katie told Deke he was talented and not to give up on his dreams because someday they could come true. Katie told him about the new fashion house.
Deke told Katie that he believed in her. Katie said that she’d seen his designs and knew he had talent. ”Every new company needs people who can nurture it, who believe in each other,” Katie explained.
Katie thought Deke might be just the person he was looking for to help her fulfill her dreams — and prove her sister wrong.
At the bar, Bill and Deacon bantered. Deacon told Bill that he had an idea about expansion and was looking for an investor; Bill was interested.
