This week, she’s highlighted a look at 2025 in a 3-part retrospective of fashion, quotables, set highlights, and other memorable GH moments and tributes.

Weekly shout-out to the General Hospital Costume Design, Hairstyling & Makeup Departments for their tireless efforts to come up with stylish head-to-toe looks for all of the GH characters. Also, shout out to the GH Production Design team and Art Director for creating the beloved fictitious town of Port Charles.

THE FASHION SCENE  ◈  Fashion Favorites for 2025

There were so many fab looks to choose from, but these are some standout favorites for the year.

◈ TRACY & HER AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COATS ◈

Always chic and always polished, wearing gorgeous jackets has become Tracy’s (Jane Elliot) signature look.

◈ JORDAN ◈

  • Jordan looked slamming in her sky blue bikini and coordinating sarong at the Metro Court pool. I hope Tanisha Harper took this for her own wardrobe!
  • Bold, modern, and fierce…she looked snatched in this impeccably tailored ensemble. Smythe began with a quest to create the perfect women’s blazer and has since evolved into a renowned lifestyle brand. Their modern, yet classic designs reflect a masterful blend of masculine and feminine elements with an exceptional focus on design and fit.

◈ NINA ◈

  • I love a DVF moment.
  • Cobalt is such a striking, statement color, and the bodycon fit looked amazing on Cynthia Watros. I’m a sucker for a good plaid, so the coat with its perfect mix of complementary and contrasting colors really took the ensemble to the next level for me.

◈ AVA ◈

  • Ava (Maura West) looked stunning in this dress, which was equal parts demure and sexy. The red patent-leather heels and clutch definitely gave it a fiercer edge. My only tiny pause is with the silver bow buttons…perfect for holiday time, but otherwise seem a bit too cutesy for the dress.
  • So striking…Love the drape, love the asymmetrical neckline, love the color
  • This was a “Wowza” dress for me! The cut, the subtle mix of textures in the fabric, and the perfectly placed ruching created a sexy silhouette that looked absolutely fabulous on Maura West.

◈ PORTIA ◈

The fit on both of these dresses is insane. Honestly, I’ve yet to see anything that looks bad on Brook Kerr!

◈ ELIZABETH ◈

  • The deep blue color of the dress against her bright lip and darker hair made for an absolutely stunning look.

◈ JOSSLYN ◈

  • Classic & beautiful

◈ TRINA ◈

  • Trina looked A-mazing as she channeled Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly in her perfect LBD (Little Black Dress), high bun, and La Philipe bag.

◈ MAXIE ◈

  • Maxie’s whole look was perfection! The white t-shirt with lace trim, vest with brooches, jeans, and boots was a great look for her, and her hair looked fantastic!

◈ DIANE ◈

  • The color and button trim up the sleeves…FAB.U.LOUS! Bonus points for the matching shoes and polished stone necklace.

◈ OLIVIA ◈

  • I called this look Luxe Earth-Mother. Rebecca Taylor combined a rich, floral-patterned velvet, plunging V neckline, gigot sleeves, and jewel tones to create this fabulous dress that looked gorg on Lisa LoCicero (Olivia).

◈ LUCY ◈

  • This dress most definitely deserves a closer look, because it’s a disco-glam dream.

Incredibly, there are approximately 200 sets used to create Port Charles! The art director, production designers, and set decorators are tasked with creating an entire city, as well as accidents & disasters, and special events. Of the special events, my favorites are the weddings.

This year, GH had two weddings, both for Willow and Drew. The first one was at the All Saints Chapel, where Willow made it to the altar, but not to the “I do”. Not surprisingly, finding out Drew had sex with her mother soured her on the idea of marital bliss. The second one was at Drew & Willow’s house, where she did make it to the “I do”, but ostensibly to be in a better position to get custody of her children back. Not a solid plan, but the one she went with nonetheless.

One good thing these weddings had in common – the flowers! The flower game on GH is always impressive, but the flowers for Willow and Drew’s ill-fated church nuptials were truly gorgeous. The cherry blossom trees against the arrangements of mixed red and pink-hued flowers created a stunning and ethereal setting in the chapel. Their house wedding was an even smaller affair and may have had more flowers than people, but at least they were lush, autumnal, and beautiful.
