At Bobbie’s, Sidwell wondered what happened in court and if it meant that Willow had a chance of exoneration. He noted to Marco that Drew wasn’t much use to him if not.

Sidwell told Marco that Laura was resourceful, but they had to never let her forget what they had on her.

Jordan and Curtis came into Bobbie’s, and he was amazed that she just breezily said a quick hi to Sidwell on their way to their table. Jordan agreed that, despite who he was, Sidwell was actually a good boss.

Jordan told Curtis that their jobs got in the way in the past but now there were still things she couldn’t tell him. She wondered if things had really changed in that regard.

Curtis assured Jordan that they were okay, and the most important thing was what was happening between them now.

At Laura’s, Charlotte came to babysit Ace, and they talked about Valentin and whether or not she’d run off with him or he’d take her. Charlotte offered to take Ace to the park so Laura could work, and promised to keep a close eye on him.

Ezra came over and told Laura he had Sidwell’s next orders: he wanted her to approve multiple helipads on Spoon Island. Laura called him a dimestore hood.

Ezra advised Laura that she shouldn’t test Sidwell or she’d see his ugly side. He said that he’d be opposing the helipads publicly, of course. Laura asked if he really wanted to be Sidwell’s messenger boy.

Ezra thought Laura’s ethics were surprisingly long-standing, but he advised her get on board with the inevitable future she had. He said she’d be able to do good now and then, but if she did what Sidwell wanted, he would be the best friend she ever had.

Meanwhile, Charlotte ran into Sidwell as he left Bobbie’s, who recognized both her and Ace. He introduced them to Marco, noting that she used to live at Wyndermere. Sidwell asked her to give his regards to the mayor, then cheerfully noted she should keep an eye on Ace because kids at his age can disappear in a second.

After Charlotte left to take Ace home, Sidwell noted to Marco that she could be useful as Valentin on his team would only be helpful.

At the barn, Cody and Molly talked about their evening and agreed they had no regrets. Cody scooped up Molly to take her to his room when Felicia and James walked in for his riding lesson.

Later, when James asked if Molly was Cody’s girlfriend, she replied no, while Cody said an adamant yes. The pair looked at one another, surprised by the other’s response.

Dante met with Turner in her office, and they agreed that while losing the footage was a blow, Alexis hung herself in court. They knew the police would have to account for their reasoning.

Turner thought Dante could handle being on the stand. Turner said that she could follow up accordingly if necessary, but she thought Alexis had dug her own grave, and Willow’s along with it.

Michael came to Sonny’s, who told him about his meeting with Turner and warned him that he was about to be the prime suspect. Michael said he didn’t need to be subpoenaed as he was already on Alexis’ witness list.

Michael wasn’t too worried about it, but Sonny gave him all the tips he could about what they’d want him to say. Sonny advised his son that if he testified to how he really felt about Willow, it would affect his kids forever.

Michael argued that his kids needed to know that he knew the truth about their mom and would do anything to protect them. “Anything?” Sonny wondered.

Michael intensely told Sonny that he could have shot Drew, framed Willow, bought an alibi, and put the final nail in the coffin in his testimony. “So what are you saying?” Sonny asked. Michael looked him in the eye and said that when he does get on the stand, everything he says will be for the benefit of his children.

At her house, Alexis told Suzanne they were changing tactics and going after Michael. She hoped to prove that what was in the letter was true. Later, she walked in and found Kristina looking at her files.

Alexis snapped that the files were private, but Kristina demanded answers as to why her mom was going after her brother for something he didn’t do. Alexis told her that if the police had done their job, Michael would have been on trial instead of Willow.

Alexis stood her ground against Kristina’s protests, noting that not only was it her duty legally, but for Willow, Scout, and Sam.

Alexis told Kristina that she couldn’t go to Michael. She told him that Scout was a little girl who couldn’t defend herself, but he was a grown man who could.

When Charlotte got back to Laura’s, she was about to put Ace down for a nap. She told Laura that she ran into Sidwell, and he said to give his regards. Laura couldn’t hide her horror.

Charlotte explained that Sidwell introduced himself, adding that they mostly talked about Wyndermere until he said something strange.

“He said children are reckless at that age and you only have to look away for an instant and they’re gone,” Charlotte said. Laura sank to the couch.
