Days of our Lives Recap Dec 29: Gabi gets bad news, Roman comforts Marlena
In the Days of our Lives recap for Monday, December 29, 2025, Roman made sure Marlena wasn’t alone, Alex got Steve’s approval, and Rafe had some bad news for Gabi.

At the Hernandez house, Ari was begrudgingly happy about Javi’s wedding to Leo. Gabi said she’d be supportive since Javi loved him. Rafe came home and told them gently that the DiMeras said that Stephan had died. Gabi wouldn’t believe it.
Once Rafe said that Stephan’s heart finally gave out, Gabi believed it. She wanted to get some air and went out, but insisted on going alone.
At Stephanie’s apartment, Steve was happily surprised when Kayla was able to join him, Stephanie, and Alex for Christmas dinner. They talked about the obsessed fan and told Kayla the reasons they believed he could be Jeremy. Kayla hoped it wasn’t true for Julie’s sake.
Later, Kayla and Steve left, and Alex and Stephanie took advantage of their alone time. Meanwhile, Kayla enjoyed her one-on-one time with Steve in the square.
At the pub, Lucas and Philip met with Kate for Christmas. Kate wanted to know who Lucas was dating, but he was tight-lipped. He turned the focus on Philip, noting he was dating his granddaughter’s mother. Philip thought that label sounded weird, but admitted he felt strongly for Gabi.
Marlena was getting tearful over a photo of John when Roman stopped by. She cried on his shoulder, and he was more than understanding and comforting for his friend.
Marlena said that in her practice, she was well versed in grief, but when it came to herself, it wasn’t as easy to navigate. Roman reminded her that it was Christmas, which made it harder, and it hadn’t been that long since John’s passing, either.
Roman took Marlena to the pub so she could spend Christmas with him and Kate instead.
Gabi ran into Philip in the square, and she told him what happened. He was comforting and sat with her on a park bench, hugging her. When Gabi said she wasn’t ready to go home, he offered to bring her over to his place, and she accepted.
