In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, December 23, 2025, it’s Christmas Eve but everyone’s thoughts are about Eric and how he is feeling.

At the cliff house, Hayes and Kelly wanted Steffy to make cookies to bring with them for Christmas at Eric’s. The kids were super excited about the big day. Alone, Steffy and Finn discussed Eric’s retirement and how he was probably feeling emotional about it.
Hayes and Kelly gave their parents their Christmas wish letters. But instead of wanting gifts for themselves, they wanted to give their stuff to the kids at the mission. Kelly said they wanted people all over the world to have a merry Christmas, too.
At home, Brooke and Ridge readied to volunteer at the mission, but Ridge was wondering how Eric was doing. He thought that being the holidays, it might be hard on him to process his retirement.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric told Donna he appreciated her efforts but wasn’t really into Christmas. Donna knew Eric was adjusting to retirement, but was confident his mood would lift when the family came over to celebrate. She reminded him that he was the patriarch who brought the spirit of Christmas to everyone.
A little while later, Brooke and Ridge walked in and asked where Eric was and why his car wasn’t outside. Donna said she didn’t realize he was going out. “Are you worried?” Ridge immediately asked.
“About what? It’s not like he’s going into work or something,” Donna swiped.
Donna apologized for not being cool, and said it’d been a hard morning as Eric was down. When she got emotional, Ridge bailed. He told Brooke to deal with Donna and he left to find Eric.
Brooke and Donna talked about Eric. Brooke said that Eric could find a hobby to fill the space of his career. Donna said she’d been trying to cheer him up, but he wasn’t in the mood for Christmas.
Brooke counseled Donna on what Eric needed, and reminded her that people all around need extra patience and compassion at this time of year.
At Forrester, Eric smiled as he looked at the runway and felt the garment bags. He let himself into the CEO’s office and sat at the desk. He looked at a picture of Stephanie and reminisced in flashbacks to highlights of his career.
“I knew I was going to find you here,” Ridge said from the doorway. Ridge tried to get his dad to talk to him about his feelings, but he didn’t want to. Ridge told Eric he wasn’t going through anything alone, then let him have some space.
Eric went back to the showroom, where he went back to the garment bag. He smiled as he said it was the greatest design of his life, and everyone would see it tomorrow.
