Beyond the Gates Recap Dec 18: Lynette meets with Val and Randy, Bill has baby talk for Hayley

In the Beyond the Gates recap for Thursday, December 18, 2025, Marcel made moves on Leslie, Bill had flashbacks, and Vernon covered for Andre, and vice versa.

Dani saw Bill at the country club and scolded him for not following doctor’s orders since his stroke. After trading jabs about their spouses and Bill complimenting his ex, he told Dani that he knew a lawyer in Wisconsin named Michael Baldwin, whose wife, Lauren Fenmore, owned the Fenmore Boutiques. Bill said he called in a favor, and asked Baldwin to connect them, and she agreed to work with ChelseaKat and sell the products in her boutiques.

Bill talked about their marriage, and how Dani drank more then, probably to deal with being with him. Bill talked about some of his favorite memories of their marriage, and had a flashback to when he and Dani were younger, before kids, and had gotten snowed in at the family cabin. Bill remembered Dani telling him she was pregnant with their first child, and called Naomi and Chelsea the part that he and Dani had done right.

At the Dupree mansion, Anita was just about to tell Vernon about her biopsy when Andre rang the bell. Vernon quickly covered as he didn’t want Andre blowing the surprise he’d been planning with him for Anita. Andre ended up talking to Anita about missing his parents, and Anita assured him that they would be proud of him.

At the cafe with Hayley, aka Val, Lynnette was surprised when Randy showed up. He reminded her that he’d been in D.C. the longest, and Lynnette had fond memories of them running scams. She cited one story about Val convincing an elderly man that she was his long-lost granddaughter and scammed his fortune in his will. Randy laughed that he’d shown up as Val’s concerned brother.

Lynnette said that after they left her behind, she’d turned her life on the up and up but Randy noted she was up on embezzlement charges. Lynnette insisted she was innocent, and that she needed someone like Bill to get the charges dropped. 

After Lynnette left, Randy and Hayley agreed to keep an eye on her. Hayley went upstairs to meet Bill, and found him with Dani, who made a quick exit. Hayley told Bill about her excitement to seeing their newly re-decorated vacation home in St. Bart’s but was taken aback when Bill suggested they try for a baby when they get back.

At Uptown, Leslie saw Marcel and told him that she knew he was hired by the Duprees the night of Winterfest. Marcel admitted he was, but tried to charm her by claiming his interest in her was real and that he’d only accepted the task as a means to get closer to her.

Leslie relaxed as they had some drinks, sharing with Marcel how she’d loved Ted her whole life but he might have just seen her as a convenience, even if she gave him a child. Marcel told her that Ted was an idiot for not seeing her value; Leslie warned him she wasn’t giving up on the love of her life yet. Marcel played it cool, but also told her that she’d never met anyone like him — and kissed her.
