The Young and the Restless Recap Dec 19: Matt starts his revenge, Victor and Nikki explode, Phyllis has a deal for Billy
In The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, December 19, 2025, Matt and Annie put their plan in motion, Phyllis makes a decision, and Sharon and Nick get a surprise visitor.
The Young and the Restless Recap

At GCAC, Daniel ripped into Phyllis for having a plan that she claimed would bring the family together, but involved the Abbotts. When Phyllis wouldn’t tell Daniel what her plan was, he accused her of hurting Summer. When she denied it, he reminded her that she’d faked her death years ago.
Tessa interrupted, and Phyllis welcomed her to join them so they could talk about her “friendly” future with Daniel instead. Tessa said she had gotten news about Mariah, and it wasn’t promising, so she and Daniel left. Once alone, Phyllis texted someone that they needed to meet.
In the park, Matt met with Annie, who told him that Sienna was stashed at the GCAC with security. Matt told her she had to get past that, get her out of there, and “take care of Sienna.” Matt was determined that this time, the whole clan of Newmans was going to pay the price. When Annie suggested that Matt might be endangering himself by pushing so hard against the Newmans, he questioned her loyalty.
Annie assured Matt she was in, but said once they hit go, there was no turning back. Matt told her he had nothing to lose since the Newmans had taken everything from him. Annie didn’t know how they’d take down a guy like Victor Newman. Matt pulled out a bag of fentanyl and said all they needed was the right weapon.
At Sharon’s, Noah and Sienna canoodled over BLTs. Sharon asked if Noah had heard from his dad, and he said not since the morning. Sharon noted that Victor hadn’t either, and she wondered if she should be worried. Noah said she shouldn’t be but once alone, he then decided he and Sienna should go see the town despite the risks.
Diane met with Michael at Society and implored him to help her save Jabot rather than remain loyal to Victor. Michael told her that he was on her side and had tried many times to convince Victor not to use the AI program. Diane asked him to get proof that Victor had the app, and that she and Jack could take it from there. Michael said he’d do what he could.
At the ranch, Adam told Victor about his conversation with Jack, and how he felt guilty kicking him when he was down — and that he was only down because he was awaiting Victor’s attack. Victor told Adam to pick a side.
Adam relayed Jack’s message that he’d burn Jabot ot the ground rather than let Victor get his hands on it. Victor smiled that he had Jack exactly where he wanted him.
Nikki came in and asked Adam to leave so she could talk to Victor alone, who nodded his permission to Adam. She ripped into Victor that he was destroying families at Christmas. Victor ranted about that night of debauchery in the hotel with Jack and blamed Jack for his family’s problems.
Michael called Victor, who blasted him for not finding Matt yet. He said he was working on it and then asked what was happening with his plan for Jabot. “None of your business,” Victor said, then hung up on him.
Nikki said that Michael seemed to be in agreement with her. Victor couldn’t believe it when Nikki suggested that he print a retraction about Jabot. She also wanted the program so she could have it destroyed. Victor accused her of wanting to give it to Jack.
Nikki told Victor that if he didn’t give her the AI program and end the war immediately, she would leave him. Victor said that she knew him well enough to know that he didn’t take kindly to threats. He screamed at her if she wanted out, then get out.
Diane went home and told Jack, Kyle, and Billy about her conversation with Michael. They asked if she understood that he might not be the solution. Billy still thought Phyllis could be an option. Billy got Phyllis’ text and wanted to go meet her to see what her demand was to help.
Sienna and Noah went to Crimson Lights. Back at Sharon’s, she was frustrated to find Noah’s message that they’d gone out. Nick arrived and couldn’t believe that Noah and Sienna left the ranch either. Just then, Burrow knocked on the door.
Burrow told Nick and Sharon how his partner Annie turned on him and how he’d gotten away. He wanted to find Annie and Matt, too. Nick called Noah, who was with Sienna in the park, drinking coffee on a bench. Noah assured him that they were just fine and hung up. Nick told Burrow his security would give him all the backup he needed.
After Sienna and Noah made out some more, he pointed out buildings like Crimson Lights, the Abbott house, and Newman Enterprises.
Billy met with Phyllis at GCAC and said she wanted one thing for her to stop Victor: hand over Marchetti to Summer, free and clear.
