The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Dec 18: Thomas is back, and Katie makes a decision
In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, December 18, 2025, Thomas returned with hope for the future at Forrester while Deke and Katie questioned theirs

In the showroom, Brooke was deep in thought when Ridge came in. She told him she was concerned about Katie, and Ridge thought she should be, since she’d remarried Dollar Bill. Ridge hated that Katie put herself in that position again to be hurt by Bill. He said it was inevitable, but at least Katie would have Brooke to lean on when it happened.
Brooke told Ridge that she thought Katie might be a little miffed about them undermining her by hiring a PR firm and suggested they compliment her a lot over the next few days to make her feel better.
In the design office, Deke was concerned that none of his designs had gone into production yet. Hope reassured him that he was a fabulous designer, and this was typical for new hires. Deke didn’t want special treatment, but he wanted a real shot at proving himself as the right designer for her line.
Deke didn’t want to sound ungrateful, but it didn’t feel great having Zende’s designs picked over his. Hope advised him to keep submitting his designs. She reminded him it was her line, and she’d look out for her brother.
Steffy was working in the CEO’s office when Zende opened the door to surprise her with Thomas. He told Steffy he was ready to offer his contributions to Hope for the Future again. Thomas explained that Zende would continue to contribute his designs as well, and between the two of them, they would have the line covered.
Steffy couldn’t have been more pleased with the news, but said they’d already hired Deke. Thomas and Zende told her he wasn’t right for the line and wanted her to agree that they were the better fit. Steffy texted Ridge the news, and he came to discuss it with them all.
Zende and Thomas gave their pitch to replace Deke with the two of them instead. They said that Deke was a good designer, but he wasn’t great — but they were and that was what Forrester needed, especially with Eric retiring.
The group went to the showroom, as Thomas noted that they could go for the big news of Eric Forrester’s grandsons teaming up to design for the line, or credit the pizza maker’s kid. Ridge laughed but wondered how Hope would feel about it. Steffy said she’d handle Hope and left to talk to her. Ridge asked why Thomas would give up his life in Paris, but Thomas insisted he belonged at Forrester and HFTF.
Steffy went back to the CEO’s office and called in Hope. She told her that Thomas was back, and she and Ridge think the best move is putting Thomas and Zende on HFTF as designers. Hope wondered where that would leave Deke. Steffy said that Deke had a good future as a designer, just not with Forrester.
At Spencer Publications, Will came into his dad’s office and found him trying to convince Katie to leave Forrester. Katie shared with Will that Bill offered her her own fashion house. Will was excited at the possibility and told Katie that her relationships with people at Forrester wouldn’t end just because of the building she worked at. Katie agreed and thanked them for believing in her — and decided to go ahead with the plan to have her own fashion house.
