Lucas

◈ “What in the Wuthering Heights is all of this?” – Lucas to Marco, who set up a romantic

      post-Thanksgiving moment for him

Lucas: “Brad knew what he was doing, and he made his own choices, but how he

became besties with you is beyond me, because I – I do not care for you.”

    Britt: “Not a secret.”

Carly & Valentin

Valentin: “I did, uh, incapacitate one of the guards and the pilot, and I took control of

the aircraft, reduced the altitude, lowered the speed, engaged the autopilot,

                    and then I jumped.”

Carly: “You did all of this on your own?”

    Valentin: “I had a parachute.”

Carly (tossing a first aid kit at Valentin): “Do not get blood on my couch.”

Valentin: “Don’t worry, I know how to get rid of a bloodstain.”

Valentin: “I could go for a hot meal. You got any leftovers?”

Carly: “I’m not making you a snack. Patch yourself up and get the hell out of my

               house.”

Valentin (protesting having to stay in Carly’s shed): “You’re worried that your daughter,

the WSB agent, is gonna discover me? Because I’m pretty good at being invisible.”

Carly: “Good. You can be invisible in the shed. That’s the best I have to offer. Take it or

                leave it.”

Valentin: “It’s freezing out there.”

Carly: “There are blankets in the shed.”

Valentin: “Those are tarps, and I didn’t escape from Steinmauer to freeze to death in

                    plastic.”

Carly: “I’m trying to find you another place to stay, but Donna’s coming back from

Sonny’s today, and you cannot be here.”

Valentin: “I’m pretty sure I can evade an 8-year-old, but thanks for the vote of confidence.”

Alexis

Alexis (regarding the letters between her & Valentin): “Then, you know that they were all

                                                                                          innocuous.”

Jack: “There could have been a coded message.”

Alexis: “So, you think ‘How’s Charlotte?’ is code for ‘I’m going to jump out of a plane

                 soon’?”

◈ “I have no idea what’s going on and, if I did, I would tell you, but I don’t. So, unless you

are charging me with something other than bad penmanship, I’m going home.”

  • Alexis (regarding Valentin’s escape)

Alexis: “Willow, we’ve had several trial runs and based on your past performance, the

                 risks outweigh the benefits.”

Willow: “Okay, well, I’ve been practicing, and I’m a lot better than when all of this

                  started.”

Alexis: “According to whom? The bathroom mirror?”

Drew: “Okay, Alexis, that’s enough, we get it. The jury’s gonna twist everything that

Willow says to make her seem like she had reason to shoot me.”

Alexis: “And the prosecution’s not going to have to work that hard to do that.”

Willow: “Well, my instincts…”

Alexis: “Have led you to a meticulously documented series of really bad decisions that

                 have landed you here.”

Nina w/Curtis and Nina w/Michael & Jacinda

Curtis: “How can I be sure Willow didn’t pull that trigger?”

    Nina: “I’m sure.”

Curtis: “Like you’re sure about every horrible decision you’ve ever made?”

Michael: “Can we please just have a little bit of privacy here?”

Nina: “Yes, of course. How rude of me. Please, take as much time as you need to finish

               having sex in my office.”

Nina (responding to walking in on Michael & Jacinda getting ready to have sex): “Well,

private behavior should be done in private and not in my office, where I’m coming to

    do some work.”

Michael: “Well, didn’t you and Drew engage in some ‘private behavior’ when he had an

                    office downstairs at Aurora?”

Nina: “I’m going to need my office professionally sanitized.”

Jacinda: “For a woman who hired someone to drug a congressman, you’re acting

                    awfully superior.”

Miscellaneous

◈ “Okay, let me guess. Now that I’m awake and sober – sober-adjacent, you want an explanation, right?” – A hungover Britt to Jason

Brook Lynn (referring to Deception’s deal with Sidwell): “Something about this  arrangement feels…”

Felicia: “Unsettling? Sketchy? As Georgie and James would say, sus?”

Isaiah: “I’m sorry, but Britt’s not a doctor.”

Britt: “I’m a trained and experienced OB/GYN. One of the best, actually.”

Isaiah: “Well, the best usually have a medical license.”

Drew (answering his phone): “Yeah, what do you want?”

Jordan: “Your phone etiquette needs work…”

MUSINGS FOR THE WEEK

Whoever thought to make Carly & Valentin partners in crime deserves a bonus. Laura

Wright & James Patrick Stuart have been added to my list of perfect scene partners!

The Brook Lynn & Ned scenes warmed the cockles of my heart.

I love how Kristina & Michael are always there for each other.

Sometimes, I wonder if Lulu wishes she were still in a coma – just for a day or two. Girl cannot

catch a breather. And, you know, as soon as she and Nathan fall for each other, Maxi is going

    to wake up.

I 🩷Suzanne (Jen Ray)! Her facial expressions whilst listening to Willow’s mock testimony

    were everything.

I wonder what Drew almost remembered when he was recalling the moment after he was

    shot.???

Willow looked like she was ready to shoot Drew again when they were at Alexis’s house.

Britt really needs a peephole for her door.

I’m intrigued by the items in Anna’s captivity room.

Nina needs to get the words “I didn’t mean…” tattooed on her forehead.

Lucy should have a PhD in bad decision-making.

My husband’s eyes have been red & itchy, and now, thanks to Elizabeth, I’m paranoid that he

has eyelid mites, aka Demodex blepharitis.

Help me understand why Willow professes she will do anything for her kids, but won’t break

up with Drew, whom she claims not to love anyway.

Trina is heading into a full existential crisis & she doesn’t even know about her mom & Isaiah

    yet.

Nina’s full germaphobe freak-out over Michael & Jacinda cracked me up.

So much for Chase’s so-called integrity.
