The Young and the Restless Recap Dec 15: Victor attacks during Billy and Sally’s launch party
In The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, December 15, 2025, the Abbott Communications launch party starts off with a bang, when the guests are given a different announcement during Sally’s speech.
The Young and the Restless Recap

At the jazz club, as Sally fussed over details for the launch of Abbott Communications, Billy was calm and confident that the party would go off without a hitch. Sally realized that Phyllis was on the guest list and asked why. Billy said he felt sorry for her and also wanted to show off a little, but was sure she’d be on good behavior.
At the ranch, Michael told Victor that Jack was dismantling Jabot as a preemptive move to counter Victor’s planned AI attack. Michael thought it was smart, but Victor said he would use Jack’s move against him.
Victor admitted he didn’t care about Jabot, but he wanted to take Jack down for good. Michael asked what Victor’s next move was, but he didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
On the Crimson Lights patio, Phyllis and Cane were passionately making out when Cane stopped and told Phyllis it wasn’t happening. He said that she could have been his friend but she betrayed him and will forever be his enemy. “Back at you,” Phyllis said. She teased him with her lips a bit more, but Cane let go and left.
Daniel and Tessa came in, and Phyllis asked if they were going to the launch party. Daniel insisted it was not something he wanted to support, as Billy had screwed over Phyllis so many times. Phyllis told him that she was invited and planned to go.
Tessa left to order drinks while Daniel laid into Phyllis about wanting to go to the party just to cause problems. He said he’d go with her just so she wouldn’t be an issue. Daniel asked Tessa to go, too, to be his wingperson. Tessa tried to get out of it, which Phyllis was fine with, but Daniel persisted until she agreed.
Cane found Lily at the bar, who told him he didn’t keep his end of the deal by not showing up in ‘50s clothes. She told him his charm wouldn’t be enough and to go to Fenmore’s before it closed. Cane walked by Devon and Abby on the way out, and Devon noted his surprise to see him. “It’s your lucky night. Be right back,” Cane told him.
When Cane got to the bar, Devon and Abby wanted Lily to explain why Cane was there. Before she could answer, Nate returned from his business call. Nate said he saw Cane leaving and asked Lily if she’d changed her mind about going to the party with him. Devon and Abby were shocked that Lily had invited him. Lily said Cane was the father of her children, and he lived in the same town. “Why wouldn’t I try to get along with him?” she asked.
Lily asked them not to make a big deal out of it and that it wasn’t a date. Nate and Devon told her that Cane didn’t deserve her forgiveness after all he had done, but Lily said it wasn’t their place to decide.
Victoria arrived, and Lily haughtily said, “Oh, so Victoria is your date to the party.” Victoria and Nate explained it wasn’t a date. “Really,” Victoria said with a tone. Victoria explained that she was well-versed in having to balance her relationships with her father’s animosity, but was supportive of the father of her children. That was something Lily could understand, and Abby and Devon chimed in about their support of Nate and Victoria’s ‘friendship.’
Cane returned wearing penny loafers but was only greeted by Lily. Adam and Chelsea walked up with snark just as Cane was quipping about whether or not Victor was coming. Victor called just then and asked Adam to come to the ranch and let Chelsea represent Newman Media at the party.
On his way out of GCAC, Adam saw Jack, Diane, and Kyle. He ominously said he had wars to wage, leaving the Abbotts to only hope they didn’t mean him.
Sally and Billy went to the doors and opened them together to invite everyone in. They were all smiles until they saw Cane. Billy tried throwing him out, but Cane apologized, and Sally relented. Sally told Billy that they came out on top, so who cares if he was there.
Across the room, murmurs started as people noticed Lily with Cane. Devon was fuming and was sure that it was the start of a reunion but Abby thought she was too smart for that.
Lily thought it was funny that Jack and Diane were looking at them. Cane said that she knew deep down that he was still the good man she once loved, and she would reconnect with the old Cane. Behih\nd them, Phyllis, Daniel, and Tessa walked in and immediately saw Lily and Cane together.
Daniel said a hasty hello and goodbye to Cane and Lily, then Lily noted that it must be really over between Cane and Phyllis. Cane assured her that there was nothing between them at all, as Phyllis overheard. She snickered and sipped her champagne as she walked away.
At the ranch, Adam told Victor that Jack’s dismantling of Jabot would be hard to come back from. Victor said he wanted to exploit it that the company was fragile.
Adam confirmed that Victor wanted to use Newman Media to tell the world that Jack had secretly dismantled the company. Michael suggested that Victor let Jack hang himself, but Victor told him that his hesitancy to be on board was what separated them before. Adam came in with his phone and said it was a go.
Billy welcomed everyone and announced a new legacy in the Abbott world. Sally thanked everyone for coming and talked about their goals to do business with integrity. She credited Billy for having the idea, and said she was honored to be building his dream alongside him — while Phyllis rolled her eyes and drank champagne.
As Sally talked, everyone began getting notifications on their phones. Only half the room applauded when Sally finished, as everyone else was gasping. Billy noticed and pulled out his phone by the bar.
Sally came up, gushing about what a rush doing the speech was. She realized Billy, and the room, was very distracted. Chelsea told Victoria she had no idea that the article would have gone out. Devon told Nate to consider the source. Cane told Lily it had nothing to do with his AI program, and it seemed to be self-inflicted damage to Jabot.
Nate said that after all the claims of truth and transparency, it would be hard to do damage control. Phyllis asked Jack if Jabot was going down.
Back at the ranch, Victor did a toast to Jack being the architect of his own downfall. Michael and Adam clinked their glasses but looked unsure and sad.
