At the DiMera mansion, EJ blasted Gwen about Jada getting a warrant and assumed she was the one talking about Dr. Rolf staying there. She insisted it wasn’t her and suggested that Susan knew. EJ’s next suspect was Leo, as he’d been sniffing around for weeks. EJ wanted to “take care of him” and placed a call.
Leo went to see Johnny and told him about the secret lab. He shared that Gwen was involved and wondered if the disappearance of his family members was tied to it as well. After, he went to the DiMera mansion. Gwen cut him off before he got to the door to warn him about EJ’s wrath but Leo was fired up. He yelled that he had video evidence that she and EJ were in cahoots and he was going to send them to prison. Gwen warned Leo that Javi might find his body in the Salem River if he didn’t stop spewing his nonsense. Gwen told Leo to go away for a little while. “I hear the Death Star is offering vacations,” she said. Gwen went back inside and called out to EJ but only found his phone on the ground.
Stephanie noticed that Alex kept bringing up having kids. He said he was charmed by Johnny’s photos and videos but he also saw how Stephanie’s reaction to Trey throwing up on her. Alex said he never thought about having kids before he met her, and now it felt right. Stephanie smiled and hugged him, but didn’t look as enthused.
Later, Alex was leaving but spotted another fan letter on the desk in the mail. He opened the envelope but it had powder inside.
At Rafe’s office, he told Cat that someone must’ve known that she’d gotten into the tunnel and hid the evidence she’d seen. He told her that her blowing her cover put Chad at more risk. Rafe was upset, but she got him to calm down so that they could talk about the evidence they had so far, like how the victim’s phones were left behind when they were taken.
Cat and Rafe considered that since Chad had court the day after his disappearance, EJ would know people would start looking for him right away. Still, he couldn’t put it past him to be the one behind the disappearances. Rafe warned Cat to be careful because her involvement could put her whole family in danger.
Maggie met with Jeremy and told him about the fan mail Stephanie was getting. She admitted that Kate and Alex both shared their concerns. Jeremy wondered if, because he had a very distant past with Stephanie, Maggie was accusing him of being the fan.
Jeremy was upset that she accused him of being a nutjob fan, and angrily told her that he no longer felt like he had Maggie in his corner and she clearly thought the worst of him, just like everyone else. Before she could respond, he stormed off.
In the DiMera crypt, Chad worried that the bones they found belonged to Abigail. The more Theo handled them, the more he didn’t think so, as the femur was too long to be hers. Theo guessed they belonged to a man, like Stephan or Dimitri. Chad suggested it could also be bones of a DiMera enemy who met their unfortunate demise.
Just then the door unlocked, so they moved back. EJ’s body was dumped inside of the crypt.
