The Bold and the Beautiful: Is Ridge Designing Another Revolt at Forrester Creations?
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge Forrester had a huge comeuppance when Carter Walton took his company, but did he just hijack his own future?
Ridge Fashions More Hurt Feelings on The Bold and the Beautiful

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful were shocked a year ago when Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) took control of Forrester Creations. His reasoning? A few reasons, but the bottom line was that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) fostered a toxic working environment and treated people he claimed to love horribly.
Fast forward a year, a few tears, and a mea culpa or two, and the Forresters have gotten their company back and are back in full swing like it never happened. And one could make a strong argument that Ridge’s attitude hasn’t changed one bit.
Forrester Creations is a company that Eric Forrester (John McCook) founded and is still very much involved in. At least he was until last week when Ridge decided it was time for his dad to retire. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) quickly planned a retirement party, and instead of even bridging (see what we did there) the subject with Eric, they sent invites instead. The last one to know was Eric — who found out he was retiring when he came to what used to be his office and found a few people there to watch his expression when he was devastated by his son.
Eric was obviously upset, in part because in the very next room was a new collection of designs that he was proud of and wanted to show Ridge. But they were never seen, he was told his time was up, and Ridge even told him to go off into the sunset. Although they live together, there was apparently no conversation after the humiliation. Instead, Ridge and Brooke put out a press release to tell the world of their decision.
The Future of Forrester Creations on The Bold and the Beautiful

But Eric isn’t the only family member and executive member of FC management who has felt betrayed by Ridge and Brooke lately. Katie (Heather Tom) took the morning off after a dramatic end to Luna’s reign of terror on her family, and when she got to work by lunchtime, Ridge and Brooke had hired a PR firm to do her job for her.
While feeling replaced as the Director of PR wasn’t frustrating enough, Katie was shocked when Brooke was speaking (down) to her as if she were her boss. The salt in the wound came when Katie wanted to do a pitch to the CEO, and Brooke sat in, claiming she’d love to hear “what her little sister” had created as a pitch, then shot it down as if she had a say in her career.
Has Ridge done it again? Is he so tone deaf that he has alienated his closest family and coworkers into wanting to leave? Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has already offered for Katie to join Spencer Publications, but what if Eric took his designs and set up shop elsewhere?
Last time he did a collection, Eric and Ridge had a competition. In days gone by, Forrester used to have competition, like with Spectra Fashions. We would love to see Eric and Katie branch out into their own company and show the world what they can do.
Should Eric start his own fashion house, or is it time for him to retire? Share your thoughts in the comments.
