Tabyana Ali’s Inspiring Impact Beyond General Hospital
Fans of General Hospital, appreciate Trina’s kind nature, and that of the actress who plays her, Tabyana Ali.
How Tabyana Ali Empowers Others
On General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has been working overtime to avoid her and her boyfriend, Kai Taylor, from becoming suspects in Drew Cain’s shooting. She has also been quite busy trying to protect her mom and dad from becoming suspects themselves and from getting a divorce.
Thankfully, Tabyana Ali leaves all the drama to her character, so in real life, she can use her time to pursue various interesting and socially conscious projects.
Though she is only 23, Ali has already written two children’s books! The first, My Flower Child, was published in 2020 and is about the special bond and shared experiences between mothers and daughters. Her second book, My Super B, was published in 2023 and centers on a young superhero and her supportive mother.
Ali also supports Saving Our Cinderellas, which is a special sector of the Saving Our Daughters organization. Saving Our Daughters (SOD) was founded by Debbie and Curtis Benjamin with the mission of eliminating “social barriers that ultimately restrict students’ success in their daily lives.” The program involves celebrities in helping to “mentor and educate girls [from multicultural backgrounds] beyond the borders of a traditional classroom.”
Saving Our Cinderellas was co-founded by actress Keke Palmer and “focuses on adolescent BIPOC to integrate values of confidence and leadership into their daily lives.”
An exciting new project Ali has been working on is the short film Philophobia, which she wrote and co-directed. Philophobia is a fear of falling in love and can include the elements of fear of attachments and relationships. In general, it involves anxiety and possible avoidance of situations where a person might feel love, but there is still much to learn about this condition. In the trailer released on her Instagram, Ali asks the question, “How do we share a world and still see enemies in the faces of strangers?” An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but we look forward to the short film’s release soon!
Ali just announced her latest philanthropic endeavor on social media. She will be performing at the charity event, An Evening of Hope and Elegance. The night is hosted by the Keturah Hamilton Foundation to raise money to fund their mission to rebuild the ADC Grammar School in Nigeria, which supports over 2,000 students. The event is set for November 6, 2025, at 7:30 pm at The Velvet Martini Lounge at Vitellos in Studio City, CA. If you’d like to buy tickets and/or support their efforts with a donation, please visit https://keturahhamiltonfoundation.org/.
With everything Tabyana Ali has accomplished in her young life, it’s no surprise that her hometown of San Antonio, TX, dedicated a day in her honor. In recognition of her achievements, January 13 is known as Tabyana Ali Day or Love Without Walls Day.
